You are a Veterinary Technician and the doctor would like you to "take an x-ray" of this patient.  The patient is a six year old cat that has not been feeling well for about three days.  The owner thought it was in the litterbox quite a bit and it even seemed to be squatting with nothing happening.  You look on the cat's record and notice it has a history of UTI (Urinary Tract Infections) and the last episode was one year ago.  When you examined the cat's abdomen the patient seemed a little uncomfortable so you gently took an x-ray.

Press the button to see the x-ray you took.  Look it over carefully.  After scrutinizing the radiograph, press the button in front of the description of the very next thing you will do. PRESS

PRESS Take a blood sample for blood chemistry panel to evaluate especially the BUN, Creatinine, and liver enzymes.
PRESS Obtain a urine sample to evaluate for crystals and bacteria.
PRESS Take another x-ray on the lateral view.
PRESS Sedate the patient and palpate the abdomen with the kitty relaxed.
PRESS Show the owner the x-ray and explain about kidney stones and how to treat them.
PRESS Do a pre-surgical evaluation for a kidney removal procedure and then go over everything with the owner.
